Avatar: The Game
James Cameron's Avatar: The Game is a 2009 third-person action video game prequel to James Cameron's film of the same name. The game was developed by Ubisoft Montreal and released on the PlayStation 3,Xbox 360, PC, Wii and Nintendo DS on December 1,2009, with a PSP version released later on December 8,2009. It was announced by Ubisoft that it would beusing the same technology as the film to be displayedin stereoscopic 3D. Set in 2152 (two years before the events of the film),Avatar: The Game has a new SecOps recruit named Able Ryder who arrives on Pandora via a Valkyrie shuttle. Ryder meets Officer Kendra Midori. Then, Ryder heads into the Hell's Gate main complex and meets Commander Karl Falco, then briefly links into his Avatar being set up by Senior Science Officer Victor Monroe. In the game, Ryder's objective is to collect three harmonics from the various willow trees across Pandora. The harmonics will tune a song that will help a device called the Emulator trick Eywa into communicating with the planet. The Pandoran environment is dangerous and occasional hazards are Viperwolves, Direhorses, Sturmbeests, and Na'vi. Ryder has acess to various vehicles including the PBR Mark IV Gator boat, the Dragon Assault animal, or plant, it will circle the object and a headline will appear on the screen, for example: "New Pandorapedia Article: Direhorse". The PSP version of the game lets you play being a Na'vi and avoid human attacks.Ship, Celluar Ammunition Rifle Base Turret, Scorpion Gunship, 'Swan' Ground Assault Vehicle, Buggy IV, and AMP Suit. The player has an interactive data-base system called Pandorapedia. Pandorapedia activates when the player scans his environment. If the scanner sees any specific vehicle,
